We are anticipating the upcoming opening of a Java Backend Engineer w/ AWS within our local tech team in Portugal.

Working at the 7. 1 Tech Hub is so much more than just a job. You will work with a
- knit international scrum team consisting of highly experienced individuals organized in several agile product teams with deep competences in
- edge media technologies, cloud tools, product management, software development, and IT operations.

We are looking for engineers with an “application-owner” mindset, who are excited to take

- end responsibility for the systems that they are developing - “you build it, you own it, you run it”.

What you can expect in this role

• You will be part of an engineering culture that emphasizes Clean Code, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and continuous refactoring.
• You will contribute to creating large software systems that are extendable and apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Clean Architecture, and various Object-Oriented Enterprise Design Patterns to keep code modular and readable.
• You will interact directly with
  - users and work on the full product development lifecycle (from gathering requirements to testing and deployment) to deliver solutions to their business problems with a Dev
  Ops mentality.
• Our tech stack: Java 17+, Spring Framework, JUnit, Mockito, AWS, Dynamo
  DB, Docker, AWS ECS, Git
  Lab
  CI, Maven, Terraform, Gradle, Data
  Dog.

Your essential experience and education

• You have 4+ years of experience designing and developing large software applications.
• Must-haves: Java; Spring Framework (or Quarkus); AWS experience regarding development and architecture (or another similar cloud solution).
• Nice-to-haves: Docker; Dynamo
  DB; SQS/SNS; Lambda; Python; Java
  Script.
• You have profound experience in building
  - quality software in teams and are able to autonomously tackle complex problems.
• Experience and knowledge in Agile methodologies.
• Experience working through the full product development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment.
• Fluent in English (Portuguese and/or German language proficiency is a plus).
