Visit. org is looking for an experienced, responsible, and driven Freelance Event Specialist in Albufeira, Portugal, to help us manage the logistics of an upcoming
- person event. The right candidate will be based in Albufeira, Portugal, and have corporate event experience, entrepreneurial spirit, extreme passion for our mission, and the energy and discipline to thrive in a
- up tech environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all event details, shipping event materials, and arranging staffing for each event. Be our
  - site event coordinator for fun, engaging,
  - building, social impact activities.
• Join virtual planning meetings ahead of each event with all parties: corporate partner, nonprofit partner, Visit. org event host, and Visit. org event coordinators.
• Take ownership and responsibility of our
  - person events: be
  - site to set up, align with the
  - site team, tear down, clean site areas,
  - solve, and ensure
  - quality customer experience.
• Act as the Visit. org representative, leader, and problem solver at events.
• Align roles and responsibilities with the onsite team: event host, nonprofit organization, venue, additional staff, and corporate partner.
• Manage the
  - in process for
  - person events, providing a warm and friendly welcome to guests.
• Problem-solve issues such as missing supplies, late staff, and technology challenges.
• Escalate issues to the Events Team when necessary to keep them informed or help
  - solve.
• Send consistent updates, photos, and videos to the Events Team throughout the event.
• Assist in breakdown after the event ends, helping to clean the site and repackage and ship all materials back to the distribution center.

• Fluency in English and strong communication skills.
• Based in Albufeira, Portugal.
• Schedule flexibility with availability to work on a contract
  - event basis, as needed.
• Experience in complex,
  - scale events and smaller
  - level intimate events.
• Proven experience in executing events at the highest level and continuously raising the bar on content and customer experience.
• Resourcefulness and ability to exhibit grace under pressure while being
  - minded in ambiguous situations.
• Quick thinker with the ability to
  - solve on the fly.
• Self-starter who is organized and
  - oriented.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, especially in
  - paced situations.
• Experience with group facilitation and managing group dynamics.
• Willing and eager to travel to various areas of the local region.
• Able to wear many hats and take on varied tasks and projects.
• Comfortable interacting with large crowds.

• Able to lift, slide, and carry up to 30lbs.
• Able to stand for an extended period of time.

• This is an
  - location,

  - event contract role in Albufeira, Portugal. This role is open only to candidates already based in Albufeira, Portugal. No relocation packages are offered at this time.

• Must be based in Portugal.
• No travel stipends will be allocated.
