FPGA Engineer
Scope
We are looking to expand our R&D team for the development of Neuron product line.
The Neuron development program consists of 4 agile teams based in Gilze, the Netherlands, with all kinds of competences: hardware, software, FPGA developers, and system testing.
To accelerate the Neuron development, we want to create a new agile team based in EVS Porto that will work closely with the teams in the Netherlands. This team will also consist of FPGA, software, and system testers.

The Neuron platform is our new

- art
- speed processing board with 100Gb interfaces, 2 FPGAs, and a
- core ARM running Linux. It is used as the basis for all our Neuron audio and video processing products, like the Bridge, Convert, Protect, Compress, Shuffle, and View.
The development processes are based on SAFe using the latest technologies, and our build and test systems are fully automated.
Job Description
- Work in a
- disciplinary team to create our products. - Define, design, develop, simulate, and test complex FPGA logic.
- Embrace new technologies and share with colleagues.
- Participate in the continuous improvements of the development process and tools.
- Coach and help your colleagues to grow.
Profile
- Bachelor or University degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Technical skills:
- Several years of FPGA development experience.
- Experience with FPGA designs and the Xilinx and/or Altera toolchain.
- Experience with VHDL development including simulation, optimization, and validation.
- Experience with a scripting language such as Python, Tcl, shell scripting, etc.
The following experiences are not mandatory and will be considered as an asset:
- Some embedded software/system knowledge or experience.
- Knowledge of video and audio technologies is an advantage.
- Experience with Agile development methods and tools (e. g. , Jira, CI, Gitlab).
