We are looking for a Financial Reporting Controller
MAIN TASKS:
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting: Prepare and submit financial reports within set deadlines while adhering to regulatory standards.
- Prepare IFRS packages: Compile quarterly IFRS reports, ensuring data accuracy and compliance through checks and adjustments.
- Meet reporting deadlines: Strictly follow the schedule for report submission and find ways to optimize the process.
- Conduct financial analysis: Review and analyze financial data to understand trends, identify issues, and support
- making. - Ensure IFRS compliance: Help review and control IFRS GAAP reports every quarter to maintain accuracy.
- Document processes and work: Maintain clear records of all tasks, following internal control requirements.
- Report to management: Regularly update on work progress and challenges.
YOUR PROFILE AND SKILLS:
- Strong accounting knowledge, ensuring accurate financial statements and balance sheet reviews.
- Understanding of IFRS standards (IFRS 9, 13, 17), IAS 12 and 19, and French GAAP is a strong advantage.
- Experience in preparing financial statements and handling intercompany transactions, corporate tax,
- currency, and impairment accounting. - Comfortable working in a structured, controlled environment, resolving or creating financial controls.
- Ability to identify and solve issues within financial reporting tools and processes.
- At least 5 years of experience in financial reporting, with at least 2 years in the insurance sector (experience in banking is a plus).
- Adaptability to changing tasks and environments.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data.
- Willingness to perform
- on tasks such as reconciliations and adjustments. - Attention to detail while maintaining a
- oriented approach. - English - Proficient level
- Hybrid role in Porto.
