About the client:

Our client is a Fund Management Company licensed by the Portuguese Stocks Market Regulator (CMVM), allowed to manage Private Equity / Venture Capital and Real Estate funds and is exposed to companies and projects in Portugal, USA, Turkey, UK, Luxembourg, and Spain.

They need a Financial Controller who will play a key role in managing financial operations and reporting.

• Preparing financial reports within the funds and its subsidiaries and portfolio valuations with accordance to different valuation methodologies.
• Collaborating with stakeholders (auditors, accountants, advisors) for financial reporting.
• Supervising monthly account closures and revenue recognition.
• Managing cash flow, working capital, and business plan analyses.
• Supporting the CFO with special financial analyses and board/investor reporting.
• Coordinating audits and preparing investor newsletters.
• Liaise with Auditor’s teams with respect to the
  - annual and annual audited financial statements and reports.

Requirements:

• Experience: At least 2 years of professional experience in Financial Audit and/or Financial Control
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Engineering, Finance or equivalent
• Languages: Fluency in Portuguese and English, both written and spoken
• Competences:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) skills
  • Excellent organizational skills as well as the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure
  • Critical thinking and solution orientation
  • Ability to comprehend and analyze financial records
