Our Finance Europe & Africa team is looking for a Financial Controller in Portugal.

As Financial Controller, you will conduct various tasks. Among other things, your missions will be:

1. FINANCIAL PROCEDURES AND STATUTORY COMPLIANCE

1. Coordinating financial information between local business team, external accounting team and supervise the work of the latter.
2. Processing invoices and payments.
3. Ensuring proper controls of accounting operations (Invoicing of Electricity generated, monitoring of receivables, payments, etc. )
4. Enhancing the accuracy of the annual financial statements and ensure that reported results comply with local GAAPs.
5. Participating at the external audits for statutory or group purposes.
6. Giving inputs and assisting in implementing internal control.

2. BUDGET AND REPORTING

1. Assisting in the budgets and forecasts preparation, including the monthly
   - up and update of the construction budget and cash position.
2. Analyzing variances of actuals versus forecast and budgets.
3. Preparation of the monthly reporting and cash flow forecast, and
   - annual consolidation packages of the country (including P&L, CAPEX, cash flow and forecasts) and ensure that reported results comply with Group procedures.

3. TAXES

1. Ensuring proper control of local tax returns prepared by local external accountants.
2. Assisting in the review of tax aspects in financial models.

4. CORPORATE FINANCE AND BANK RELATIONSHIP

1. Preparing debt drawdowns during construction.
2. Preparing debt covenants calculation and mandatory operational and financial reports.
3. Maintaining relationship with the bank agent.
4. Leading distributions.

5. SUPPORT TO BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

1. Early involvement in the projects with Development, Legal and Financing teams: reviewing the business plans with a focus on the tax analysis, participating in the financial close reviewing of the EPC, O&M contracts, preparing the equity proof.
2. Support on Tax structuring and efficiency at project level.
3. Reviewing the Share Purchase Agreements and the Share Holders Agreements during Joint Ventures.
4. Supporting the development teams in due diligences, integration in Neoen during M&As.
