What you will be doing:

Finance Center of Excellence Accountants monitor
-
- end Purchase-to-Pay (Pt
P) performance process for small, medium & larger countries. Based on the strategic and tactical priorities for Pt
P, the COE PTP Accountant leads projects and drives enhancements to the Pt
P process overall. In addition to regular partnering with regional business stakeholders on Pt
P-related process and system issues, advises all parties – business stakeholders, shared services, and Fed
Ex suppliers – on solutions to complex Pt
P challenges while also helping to deploy specific solutions and improvements. Finally, COE PTP Accountants leverage their proximity to business stakeholders and
- depth knowledge to lead complex,
- impact Pt
P projects including complex query handling (level 3) and business partnering for new requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

Purchase to Pay, Project management, Process Specialist, End-to-End Insights, Transformation, Business partnering.

Other Duties:

May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

Geographic Remit:

Up to Regional / Europe / International level.

Forward Planning Responsibility:

Plans and organizes own work on weekly/monthly basis.

Process Responsibility:

Develops existing and new team processes and procedures.

Internal Contacts:

Regular interaction with First Line Management/ with Senior Management/ with Directors. Occasional interaction with Officers (VP and above).

External Contacts:

Occasional interaction with external suppliers.

What do you bring with you:

• Background in Finance is advantageous.
• Relevant Experience in Purchase to Pay (at least 2 years).
• Proven experience on how to post an invoice, search for invoices, vendors, payments, purchase orders, etc.
• Knowledge and Experience of the
  -
  - end Purchase to Pay process.
• Experience with leading (Purchase to Pay) projects.
• Experience with business partnering (projects) in Purchase to Pay.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English in a business environment setting. Other desired languages are German, French, Italian, Dutch (B2 Level).
• Experience with Excel (Mandatory).
• Ability to pay close attention to detail.
• Good problem solving and analytical skills.
• Keen to learn and approach subjects outside of comfort zone and propose suggestions for improvement.
• Experience in an international environment or similar (Plus).
• Successful candidates are adept team players and have excellent critical thinking and communication skills. Experience in the Purchase-to-Pay environment of a
  - national company is a must, while experience with finance ERPs (Oracle) and automation is a plus.
• General undergraduate degree (e. g. bachelor’s degree); Accreditation: Specific Business Accreditation.
