About the Position

Job Summary

We are a company leader in the Instrumentation for Science and Technology. Our Field Service Engineers are essential to ensure the company growth and maintain our market leadership by providing the highest quality service to our clients. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing field service support in your assigned area.

Key Accountabilities

1. Perform preventative maintenance, repair and/or installation of instruments at our facilities or at customer’s sites, including electrical and mechanical testing, in accordance with maintenance contracts.
2. Perform operational training for clients after installation.
3. Diagnose system failures and implement the best solution.
4. Provide technical support to other Field Service Engineers in Spain and Portugal, when required.
5. For high complexity interventions, coordinate with internal or external key players to resolve service calls efficiently.
6. Coordinate with other departments of the organization to meet client needs.
7. Contribute to developing service agreements and inform clients about new products.
8. Maintain and control the assigned stock.

Networking/Key Relationships

This position requires constant cooperation with external clients, as well as very frequent coordination with different departments of the company: Technical Service, Sales Force, Supply Chain, Quality, etc.

Minimum Knowledge & Experience Required

1. Professional qualification (level 4) or a bachelor’s degree (Engineering) in science areas: biomedical, electronic, automation engineering or equivalent.
2. Knowledge of electricity, electronics and/or IT.
3. 1-3 years of experience in similar positions.

2. Capable of working autonomously.
3. Flexible and structured.
4. A real team player.
5. Fluent in Portuguese and English; Spanish is a plus.

Travel Requirements

1. Availability to travel across Portugal and Spain (20% - 40% of the time).
