Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
- Elevated Guest Experience: Cultivate a refined dining atmosphere by delivering service that exceeds expectations, anticipating guest needs, and providing expert recommendations with sophistication and grace.
- Operational Leadership: Assume a leadership role in maintaining the service standards of the dining area, ensuring optimal stock levels, and upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Team Collaboration and Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering a collaborative environment and contributing to the development of service excellence.
- Proactive Problem Solving: Exercise sound judgment and initiative to address operational challenges, minimize waste, and communicate effectively with management regarding equipment, supplies, and safety protocols.
- Service Refinement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of service standards by providing feedback and identifying opportunities for enhancement.
- Proven Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment, with a demonstrated track record of exceptional service.
- Leadership Qualities: The ability to lead by example, mentor junior staff, and contribute to a positive and productive team dynamic.
- Exceptional Communication and Interpersonal Skills: A refined and articulate communication style, coupled with the ability to build rapport with guests and colleagues alike.
- Comprehensive Food and Beverage Knowledge: A deep understanding of culinary techniques, wine pairings, and beverage service, enabling you to provide expert recommendations.
- Operational Proficiency: The ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, maintain composure under pressure, and ensure seamless service flow.
- Physical Stamina: The ability to lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs (23 kg), and to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Compliance and Professionalism: Adherence to all local regulations regarding food handling and alcohol service, as well as a commitment to maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Flexibility: Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
