Your future duties and responsibilities:

As a Developer on our team, you will be working on several big initiatives within the business. This role will require communication and interaction with multiple internal and external clients to ensure each module interacts properly with each other. The Developer will also troubleshoot issues and develop new enhancements to achieve targeted results. If you have experience in backend development and are excited about continuous learning opportunities, we want to hear from you.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Design and develop ETL processes
• Exploit ETL processes and perform data migrations between business applications
• Participate in planning tasks and supporting team leaders in coordination of activities
• Elicit and document requirements

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

Essential Qualifications

• Advanced Knowledge of Datawarehouse concepts and building
• Knowledge and
  - on technical experience with Streaming frameworks (Ex: Kafka)
• Knowledge with Change Data Capture Techniques
• Knowledge and
  - on technical experience with Java (C++ is a plus)
• Advanced knowledge and
  - on technical experience with SQL and PL/SQL (Oracle and Postgres)
• Knowledge of Unix
• An ability to quickly translate and navigate through new code from different development styles
• Good communication skills in English or French, speaking and writing

Desired Qualifications

• Knowledge of data visualisation software (ex: Power
  BI, Apache Superset)
• Knowledge of data integration tools (ex: Talend)
• Knowledge of version control software (Git
  Lab)
• Independent worker that requires little supervision beyond initial scope expectation and transfer of requirement
• Aptitude for application level support, migration and deployment activities

Education and Certification

• Degree in computer engineering, or equivalent
• Professional experience between 5 to 8 years
