Squarespace is looking for an Engineering Team Manager to lead our Bio Sites frontend engineering team. Bio Sites is Squarespace's link in biography product that enables creators, entrepreneurs, and businesses to share their entire worlds in just one link. As more brands begin on social media, a Bio Site is a lightweight way for our customers to connect their followers to their company, grow their brand, and monetize their work.

Our frontend team collaborates across disciplines and teams to deliver a reliable and scalable experience on which Squarespace builds our vision for Bio Sites, and delivers uncompromising performance and availability to our users. As an Engineering Team Manager you will manage a team of engineers, own a crucial part of the user experience, and contribute to the
- term strategic vision of the platform.

You will report to the Engineering Director and be based in Aveiro, Portugal, with a minimum of 3 flexible days per week spent in office. You will be part of Squarespace’s initial core team in the country, and help grow our Portugal presence into a market reference.

You'll Get To…

• Develop a team of 4+ engineers through coaching, mentoring and feedback
• Collaborate with your partners throughout the company to help shape the team's roadmap
• Partner with other leaders to influence product, architectural and organizational choices
• Grow the technical expertise and development practices of your team

Who We're Looking For

• 5+ years of frontend and UI experience
• Must be comfortable discussing architectural details with a very technical team
• You will have experience managing individuals, coaching direct reports and providing feedback.
• You have a background in building great products.
• Experience managing multiple, concurrent projects
• Degree in Computer Science or related, or equivalent industry experience
