Job Title: Electrical Systems Engineer
Location: Portugal (Remote or on site)
Salary: €3, 000 - €4, 000 per month (14-month salary structure)
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Engineer to join our Product Engineering & Development team. This role focuses on defining and developing technical standards and procedures for electric mobility applications, ensuring compliance with international regulations and best engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Development of Standards and Procedures:
- Create and document technical procedures for the design, development, and validation of electric mobility products.
- Establish performance, reliability, and safety criteria aligned with automotive industry standards and homologation requirements.
Definition of Processes and Technical Requirements:
- Define specifications for product development and validation.
- Develop standards for thermal, electrical, and mechanical simulations to ensure design robustness.
- Establish qualification test procedures and acceptance criteria for components.
- Define technical requirements for manufacturing processes such as stamping, welding, and coatings.
Regulatory Compliance & Industry Standards:
- Ensure adherence to automotive and electric mobility standards (e. g. , IATF 16949, ISO 9001, AIAG PPAP, ISO, IEC, SAE).
- Monitor regulatory updates and integrate new requirements into technical procedures.
- Support technical audits and engineering reviews for process validation.
Collaboration & Cross-functional Support:
- Work closely with product engineering, quality, and supplier teams to ensure the applicability of developed procedures.
- Participate in technical discussions to standardize design and development methods.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer and training sessions for internal teams and strategic suppliers.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in electric mobility or the automotive industry, specifically in the development of electric power components.
- Strong understanding of conductive and dielectric materials, manufacturing processes, and electrical system integration.
- Proven experience in technical documentation, standards development, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to interpret and apply international regulations for electrical component design and approval.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Fluency in English; German is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with
- voltage battery systems and EV electrical architecture. - Knowledge of DFMEA, PFMEA, APQP, and PPAP methodologies.
- Familiarity with ISO, IEC, and SAE standards related to automotive electrical systems.
- Strong analytical skills and a mindset for continuous improvement.
