ELECTRICAL ENGINEER - CONTROL HARDWARE (HYBRID)

Portuguese company hires for remote/hybrid work.

Location: Candidates must live in Porto, Portugal.

Language Requirements: Fluent English (C1/C2).

Description: We are looking for an Electrical Engineer specializing in Control Hardware.

Seniority: Senior

Working model: Hybrid (70% remote; 30% in person)

Minimum Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering
2. More than 4 years of professional experience as Electrical Engineer
3. Should be able to interpret the Electrical Schematic diagram, Panel, Cables, Component
4. Selection (MCCB, Switch gear, Breaker relay, Cable Harness) components
5. Should have experience in UPS, Backup, Battery, DCN controls, CT Module, Network, electronic Bus.
6. Should have experience in Sensors (Pressure, Temp, smoke), PLC, Digital & Analog Components
7. Fluent in English

Daily tasks:

1. Able to download & investigate why alarm has triggered false message.
2. Investigate failures reported from turbines in the field by collaborating with site technicians and design engineers.
3. Drive
   - cause analysis and identify impact on fleet.
4. Make alignment with all affected stakeholders like: Module owners, service, Construction, legal.
5. Identify short and
   - term actions to reduce effect of failure.
6. Drive development of improvement solution.
7. Testing specifications for solution.
8. Prepare inputs for customer and stakeholder communication.

Non-mandatory:

1. Previous experience in Commissioning & Troubleshooting will be an added advantage.
2. Knowledge of IEC, UL, EN Standards.
3. Basic knowledge of applying Q tools like DMAIC, DFSS will be an added advantage.
4. Field experience in Wind Industry especially WTGs will be preferred.
5. Experience with DMAIC cycle, 6-Sigma, SCRUM and gate models would be an advantage.
6. Need Wind Industry Experience (plus).
