YOUR ROLE

We are establishing a Center of Expertise focused on Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) technology. We are seeking a highly skilled DWDM Engineer to join our team and drive the successful delivery of projects while providing exceptional support to our customers in Portugal and Europe.

1. Network Design and Implementation:
2. Design and configure DWDM systems to meet specific network requirements.
3. Implement and test DWDM solutions, ensuring they meet performance and reliability standards.
4. Technical Support and Maintenance:
5. Provide expert support to customers, addressing and resolving technical issues promptly.
6. Perform regular maintenance and upgrades to ensure network stability and performance.
7. Collaborate with
   - functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of DWDM networks.
8. Documentation and Compliance:
9. Maintain detailed technical documentation, including network diagrams and configuration records.
10. Ensure all network implementations comply with industry regulations and best practices.
11. Capacity Planning and Optimization:
12. Conduct capacity planning to accommodate network growth and recommend expansions or upgrades.
13. Optimize network performance through continuous monitoring and analysis.

YOUR PROFILE

1. Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in designing, implementing, and supporting DWDM networks.
3. Strong knowledge of DWDM technology and optical networking principles.
4. Experience with network equipment from Ciena, Huawei, and Nokia.
5. Excellent
   - solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English; proficiency in Portuguese is a plus.
7. Ability to travel within Portugal and Europe as required.
