Our client, a leading Silicon Valley company specialising in Vertical AI Saa
S solutions, collaborates with top firms worldwide in industries such as accounting, consulting, investment banking, legal, private capital, and real assets. They’re looking for a Director of Cloud Infrastructure to join their new Research & Development centre in Lisbon. In this managerial role, you’ll be overseeing the design, development, and operation of
- cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security while driving innovation in cloud strategy.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and Inspire Your Team: Motivate your team to achieve excellent results, promote a collaborative culture, and mentor team members to support their career growth.
2. Expertise in Cloud Infrastructure: Demonstrate strong knowledge of cloud technologies (e. g. , AWS, Azure, GCP), Dev
   Ops practices, and automation tools.
3. Collaborate Across the Organisation: Work with other leaders to align strategies, share best practices, and ensure smooth integration of infrastructure services.
4. Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Keep up with emerging technologies and trends to identify areas for improvement and drive innovation within your team.
5. Solve Complex Technical Challenges: Tackle technical issues and make
   - driven decisions to improve infrastructure performance and reliability.
6. Collaborate with Operations Leadership: Work with operations leaders to turn solutions into actionable engineering and operational tasks.
7. Build a Strong Engineering Team: Recruit, hire, and develop a
   - performing team, aligning their skills with the organisation's goals.

What You Bring

1. Leadership Experience: 8+ years of experience leading technical teams and successfully delivering projects in
   - paced environments.
2. Industry Experience: Extensive background in
   - centric and
   - based projects, with a strong emphasis on structured and scalable architectures.
3. Cloud & Dev
   Ops Expertise: Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, Dev
   Ops principles, and automation tools (e. g. , Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible).
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with teams from different functions and build strong relationships.
5. Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute
   - term plans for infrastructure growth and modernisation.
6. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
7. Team Development: Proven experience managing and developing
   - performing engineering teams.
