Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Gather technical requirements for system enhancements
- Participate in the change request process for any system updates (technical and functional)
- Participate in the technical testing effort ensuring a smooth delivery in production
- Participate in launching and following up on initiatives as assigned
- Assist in the respect of project deadlines and schedules
- Identify product gaps or weaknesses and suggest areas of improvement, as needed
- Communicate and apply project standards
- Prioritize from assigned projects and independently accept ownership of tasks
- Co-ordinate with various project stakeholders and provide timely updates on the status
Application Support:
- Perform level 3 support and analysis of reported issues, evaluate alternative business solutions, workarounds to minimize the impacts ensuring proper resolution and follow up with the vendor or service provider;
- Ensure a smooth follow up of all technical processes (Online, STP, flows and batches…), making sure known issues are well documented and available for first line of support.
Technical skills:
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them to technical solutions;
- Creative and logical thinking to analyze a change request / problem or issue and define potential solutions or improvements, ways to do it, and being able of transpose logical thinking to a schematic / diagram and documents for both presentation / discussion / documentation;
- Capable of managing services running on Linux or Windows Servers (stop, start, deploy, debug);
- Capable of developing small programs using scripting language (Shell, Perl, Python, or Ruby)
- Academic or Professional knowledge of Confluence, JIRA, GIT/Bitbucket is a plus
- Understanding of Application Servers such as Web
Sphere, Tomcat, JBoss etc. is a plus - Participate in planning, implementation, and sizing of the IT infrastructure
- Prior experience with job schedulers (e. g. CA Workload Automation, Control-M)
- Technical knowledge of protocols of all type TCP / IP / SMTP / FTP / HTTP/S is required
- Understanding of system architectures such as SSO, Firewalls, load balancer, storage systems and network basics etc. is required;
- English – 4 – Mastery (written and spoken);
- Fluency in Italian is a strong advantage.
