Position Overview

We’re seeking a seasoned Dev
Ops / Solutions Architect to join our Lisbon team and take ownership of designing efficient, observable, and secure systems that align with Koloni's technical strategy and goals. This
- person role will focus on architecting
- performance solutions, leveraging top cloud technologies, and building a resilient infrastructure that scales to meet both present and future needs. Our ideal candidate is a
- thinking cloud architect with expertise in AWS, CI/CD, and
- scale project leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect Scalable Solutions: Develop modular, resilient, and
  - based solutions. Create architecture blueprints for new system integrations.
• Establish Technical Standards: Define best practices, standards, and governance models for
  - quality, secure, and compliant architecture across all systems.
• Collaborative System Integration: Partner with product, engineering, and operations teams to ensure integrated solutions that meet business objectives.
• Lead Cloud Strategy and Optimization: Drive cloud strategy with AWS (or equivalent platforms) to create a
  - effective, optimized architecture. Identify opportunities for cloud adoption and legacy system migration.
• Manage Data Layers: Implement data integration layers for seamless
  - service communication, modularity, and efficient data flow.
• Implement Security & Disaster Recovery: Develop solutions with a focus on security and resilience, including disaster recovery protocols for business continuity.
• Technical Leadership and Mentorship: Act as a thought leader, advising teams on best practices in architecture and promoting
  - sharing.

Qualifications

• Experience: 7+ years in Dev
  Ops, Solutions Architecture, or similar roles, with deep knowledge in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and
  - availability systems.
• Technical Skills:
• Cloud Platforms: Extensive experience with AWS (Lambda, RDS, Dynamo
  DB, Cloud
  Watch, Open
  Search, S3, Route 53, etc. ).
• Containerization & Orchestration: Strong proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, and lightweight tools.
• CI/CD: Proven expertise in CI/CD pipeline development and management.
• Monitoring & Observability: Skilled in performance monitoring & dashboards (AWS Cloud
  Watch, Prometheus/Grafana) and logging (Open
  Search, ELK).
• Software Services: Expertise in microservices architecture, RESTful APIs,
  - driven systems, and familiarity with API gateways and messaging brokers (e. g. , Kafka).
• Infrastructure-as-Code (Ia
  C): Skilled in Ia
  C tools like Terraform or AWS Cloud
  Formation for automated deployments.
• Security & Compliance: Understanding of cloud security best practices, identity management, encryption, and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2).
• Programming & Scripting: Proficient in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Ruby for automation.
• Soft Skills: Problem-solving mindset, excellent communication, and a collaborative,
  - functional work style.
• Bonus: AWS Solutions Architect certification or similar qualifications.
