We are looking for a Dataware Expert!
Mission & Profile: The candidate will be part of a new department merger of several teams spread over several departments and locations, all aiming at controlling and reducing the bank’s operational risk.
The candidate will be developing on top of an existing Data Platform to ingest important volumes of data, store them in efficient ways and expose them for reporting purposes. These data will need to be made easily accessible to other internal systems owned by different branches of the bank.
These data are referential data that the OPC (Operational Permanent Control) teams rely on to model the bank’s Risk Position.
Specifically, the candidate will help lead key Global initiatives in a
- profile program.
This role sits within the Client Engagement & Protect department, allowing for opportunities to explore other topics in a wide variety of domains.
Responsibilities:
- Defining high quality technical solutions in line with bank architectural standards within constraints of current technology platform. This can include the exploration and implementation of new technologies with enhanced product offering and provide group with a competitive edge.
- Seek simplification and rationalization of the business, systems, and processes to improve
- through processing. - Helping the development of a new platform whilst ensuring integrity of existing production processes.
- Participating in all stages of development from high level design, estimation, through more detailed design, manage development, unit testing and delivery.
- Progressing topics either autonomously or leading offshore developers, giving guidance, mentoring and further development of the team. Planning of resource usage in line with assigned budget and timelines.
- Engagement with other BA/PMs to provide input into analysis tasks, and communication with business sponsors.
- Progress monitoring, reporting and escalation to ensure adequate management visibility of progress, risks, and issues.
Requirements:
- Experience in Information Technology/Data Models.
- Ability to
- manage and take initiative in resolving issues. - Familiarity with deployment of applications, application releases, and environments.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, able to effectively communicate at all levels and across both functional and technical teams both offshore and onshore.
- Organised, structured and proactive.
- Professional approach and conduct.
- Ability to build key relationships quickly, appreciating others' point of view.
- Able to work in a pressurised environment and to tight deadlines - Being prepared to work long hours when essential.
- Very rigorous approach, someone who takes personal pride in their work.
- Possesses common sense and is a logical thinker.
- Team Player – Work as part of a team and contribute to the overall success of the team.
- Ability to work independently and to provide guidance to offshore resources.
- Ability to see the ‘wider picture’ and to recognise when escalation to domain level management is required.
- Ability to navigate complex resource and systems environments.
- Good level of English.
