• Reorganize versus rebuild indexes
• Statistics and update statistics
• Backup/restore possibilities within SQL Server
• Recovery model of a database and the impact on backups, log files
• System Databases:
• Which exists and what they are used for
• SQL Agent:
• How does it work, how to configure it, possibilities

Security

• TDE (Transparent Database Encryption)
• Security Defaults:
• Server roles

• Application roles

High-Availability Solutions

• Basic knowledge of:
