About the Role

We’re looking for a talented
- disciplinary Data Platform Engineer with a passion for infrastructure, who will be responsible for the performance, scale, and stability of our core streaming platform. We are a
- driven organization, ingesting data at high rates, with demands increasing each day.

As a Data Platform Engineer, you will be part of the Data Platform group and will be responsible for a
- scale production streaming platform that serves as the core infrastructure of our products. You'll develop
- service tools that support the accessibility of our platform for the use of other dev departments. We will look to you to be a center of knowledge, consult, and share your expertise with others.

What You'll Be Doing

1. Implement the future data streaming platform in Riskified, providing
   - time and near
   - time scalable and resilient platform for our growing stack of products and microservices.
2. Administrate, provision and monitor our streaming platform.
3. Develop, maintain and enhance the Streaming related Application infrastructure.
4. Guide development teams and mentor other team members.
5. Use your creativity to resolve complex and high scale data related issues.
6. Research new technologies, starting from POC level to production grade systems.

Qualifications

1. At least 3 years prior experience as a Data Engineer / Big Data Infrastructure engineer.
2. Hands-on experience with Data Streaming technologies: Apache Kafka / Apache Pulsar / Spark Streaming / Kstream / Apache Flink.
3. B. Sc. in Computer Science (or equivalent).
4. Experience working on high scale,
   - grade projects.

Advantage

1. Experience with the Cloud Native stack (Kubernetes / Prometheus / Istio etc. ).
2. Experience with a cloud provider (AWS, Google etc. ).
3. Experience with Infrastructure tools (Helm, Ansible, Terraform etc. ).
4. Experience with Scala.
