Position Overview

The Lead Data Engineer / Snowflake Architect is a key technical leader responsible for guiding and managing Snowflake development and architecture for specific use cases, projects, or sprints. This role demands extensive expertise in Snowflake and related technologies, coupled with a strong background in data engineering and architecture. The ideal candidate is a seasoned Snowflake expert with a proven track record of delivering complex projects and possesses a collaborative mindset to lead and mentor teams effectively.

Technical Expertise:

1. Deep knowledge of Snowflake, SQL, and Git.
2. Proven experience in Snowflake Architecture, including performance optimization and scalability.
3. Proficiency in dbt Cloud for data modeling and transformations.

Project and Process Management:

1. Familiarity with agile implementation methods and tools such as Azure Dev
   Ops and Jira.
2. Strong understanding of deployment, testing, and production environments.

Communication and Leadership:

1. Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with business stakeholders and team members.
2. Ability to guide teams, resolve conflicts, and foster a culture of accountability and high performance.

Requirements:

1. 5+ years of experience in data engineering roles with a focus on Snowflake and cloud data warehousing.
2. Hands-on experience with
   - scale Snowflake implementations and dbt Cloud.
3. Prior experience in a leadership or mentorship role within agile teams.
