We are looking for a highly skilled Data Architect with strong expertise in data governance, cloud platforms, and big data technologies. If you have a passion for optimizing data systems and a deep understanding of data management practices, this is your opportunity to make a significant impact.

Key Requirements:

• Up to 10 years of experience in a similar role.
• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of the Energy & Utilities sector and GDPR regulations (preferred).
• Ability to collaborate effectively with global teams.
• Strong critical analysis and
  - solving abilities.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology, JIRA, and Confluence (valued).
• A commitment to delivering
  - quality results.
• Experience with strategic projects (preferred).
• Proficiency in English (required), with Portuguese and Spanish as a plus.
• Up-to-date knowledge of databases, analytical technologies, and modern data architectures (datalake/lakehouse, No
  SQL).
• Experience with Cloud Platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Understanding of data governance and data security practices.
• Expertise in Machine Learning, algorithms, and statistical models (e. g. , classification, regression, time series analysis).
• Experience in metadata management, data catalogs, master data management, and best practices.
• Familiarity with Big Data databases (e. g. , Big
  Query, Azure Synapse, AWS Red
  Shift, Cassandra, Couchbase, HDFS).

Responsibilities:

• Ensure consistency in data governance policies across business platforms, aligning with regulatory requirements.
• Implement technical data stewardship, ensuring proper data scanning and lineage from operational and analytics applications.
• Drive global data quality initiatives, addressing challenges across business platforms.
• Collaborate with business units to understand their specific data governance needs.
• Work with data owners to build a business glossary and a curated data catalog.
• Provide centralized training programs and communication strategies to promote best practices in data governance.
• Implement monitoring mechanisms to track data quality, consistency, and adherence to policies.
• Model business requirements into a standardized data structure (denormalized, star schema, or other formats) aligned with objectives.
• Design data models beyond traditional tabular forms, including columnar, graph, geographic, time series, and document models.
• Model data streams and integrations (e. g. , schema API, CRUD API).
• Design and apply reference data architectures based on the data management strategy.
• Create a blueprint for the organizational data framework, defining how data is obtained, stored, consumed, and integrated to enrich Data
  Lakes, MDUs, and Datamarts.
• Define observability indicators for Data
  Ops in 3 areas: Data pipeline health (Duration, delays, retries, and execution timings), Dataset health (Availability, freshness, volume, schema changes), Data health (Profiling, outlier and anomaly detection, business rule enforcement).
• Ensure technical functionality (scalability, security, performance, data recovery, reliability).
