Description

What We Are Looking For / Tasks Associated with the Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect / Data Governance Specialist with a strong background in designing, implementing, and managing data architectures, governance frameworks, and observability standards. This role involves working closely with global teams to ensure data quality, consistency, and alignment with regulatory and business requirements. The ideal candidate will have expertise in modern data technologies, cloud platforms, and metadata management, leading initiatives to enhance the organization's data infrastructure and governance practices.

• Deliverables:

1. Model business requirements - data aspect - in a normalized, denormalized, star or other standard data model according to the objectives.
2. Model business requirements in a data model beyond the tabular: columnar, graph, geographic, time series, document.
3. Model business requirements including data streams, integrations (schema API, CRUD API).
4. Design and apply reference data architectures in accordance with the requirements of the data management strategy.
5. Design and apply blueprint for organizational data framework defined how data is obtained, stored, consumed, integrated, and managed in order to enrich the company's Data
   Lakes, MDU and Datamarts.
6. Define indicators inherent to Data
   Ops observability organized into 3 aspects:

• Operational health of data pipeline (duration, delay, withdrawals, duration between subsequent runs).
• Health at the dataset level (availability, freshness, volume, data schema change).
• Health at the data level (profiling within the "expectation envelope", outlier and anomaly detection, data drift and business rule enforcement).

• Must have:

1. Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Engineering or similar.
2. Good written and verbal communication skills.
3. Ability to work in a collaborative environment and with global teams.
4. Ability for critical analysis and focused on problem solving.
5. Commitment to quality of deliveries.
6. Knowledge of languages (written and oral): English.
7. Updated knowledge of databases and analytical technologies, including datalake/lakehouse architectures and No
   SQL storage.
8. Experience in Cloud Platforms (one or more: AWS, Google, Azure).
9. Knowledge of Machine Learning, algorithms and statistical models (such as classification, time series analysis, regression, . . . ).
10. Experience in metadata management, data catalogs, data standards and master data management best practices.
11. Experience in Big
    Data Databases (one or more: Big
    Query, Azure Synapse, AWS Red
    Shift, Cassandra, Couchbase, HDFS).
12. Ensure consistency in data governance policies and practices across all business platforms to maintain a unified and standardized approach and an alignment with regulatory requirements.
13. Implement the technical data stewardship, ensuring a holistic data scanning and data lineage from the main operational and analytics applications.
14. Implement global initiatives to improve overall data quality, with a focus on common challenges faced by multiple business platforms.
15. Working closely with representatives from each business unit to understand their specific data governance needs and challenges.
16. Build with business data owners, the business glossary and the mapping with data assets to achieve a curated data catalogue.
17. Provide centralized training programs and communication strategies to ensure that data governance best practices are understood and followed consistently across all business platforms.
18. Implement monitoring mechanisms to track data quality, consistency, and adherence to policies across the organization.

1. Knowledge of the Energy & Utilities market and GDPR.
2. Knowledge of Agile methodology, JIRA and Confluence tools.
3. Experience in strategic projects.
