Operational Excellence Manager

The Operational Excellence Manager serves as a strategic and operational role driving process improvements and operational maturity within the assigned department. This position ensures alignment of the team with the DEF Department’s goals and strategy, enhancing operational efficiency while maintaining compliance with the organization’s regulations and standards.

Each Operational Excellence Manager will lead defined horizontal operational excellence topics for the DEF organization.

What will be your responsibilities?

1. Supports and coordinates the team, based on DEF Management Office standardization.
2. Financial Planning: Supports Financial Planning and Workforce Planning in collaboration with DEF Finance and Department Head.
3. Communication Management: Develops and executes communication plans to ensure stakeholders and the Defense organization are informed about cybersecurity initiatives, progress, and risks.
4. Reporting and Dashboarding: Ensures reporting accuracy and timeliness for
   - making purposes.
5. Service Management: Ensures the Defense Standard on Service Management and supports stakeholder engagement.
6. Task Management: Oversees Task Management practices to ensure timely execution of activities and initiatives aligned across the Defense Organization.
7. Risk Management: Manages department risks in alignment with Defense Management Risks.
8. Project Governance: Ensures compliance with organizational standards and DEF Management Office governance practices.
9. Manages one of the
   - defined horizontal DEF topics within the DEF Management Office.

What do you need to qualify for this job?

1. University Diploma or Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
2. Project Management or MBA are a plus but not required.
3. Ability to manage and align
   - functional teams, driving collaboration and standardization.
4. Ability to maintain a positive dynamic while submitting frequent requests and working under pressure.
5. Fluent in spoken and written English, including business terminology.
6. Stakeholder management involves identifying, analyzing, and engaging individuals, groups, or organizations that have an interest in a project, program, or organization.
7. Ability to create budgets, forecasts, and reporting.
8. Knowledge of Project Management methodologies, ensuring adherence to organizational standards and timely delivery.
9. Ability to create and execute a communication plan for the department.
10. Proficiency in creating clear, concise, and actionable reports and presentations for middle & senior management and stakeholders.
11. Ability to create reports, analyze, and visualize data to support
    - making.
