Large multinational in the Energy & Renewables sector is currently looking to hire a Country Manager for their operations based in Lisbon. Responsibilities include:

1. Ensure the development of the project considers HSE and construction criteria during the planning stage and the RFP basic design.
2. Ensure the design review process for the EPC basic design is performed and actioned at the right time before the execution of the contract or the activity.
3. Ensure in coordination with the different teams involved that the RFP documentation, technical and commercial proposals review, shortlist, contract negotiations are adequate.
4. Develop and foster strong working relationships with the local team and at a global level to support business development.
5. At contract signature, coordinate all aspects of the project until the start of commercial operations and successful handover to the Asset Management team.
6. Ensure all projects are built safely and in agreement with client's requirements, as well as local regulations, including the project permits.
7. Continuously monitor the HSE KPI and activities on site.
8. Coordinate with the HSE corporate and local teams on any HSE risks, and audits.
9. Lead the legal aspects of the project, including responses to contractual requirements.
10. Ensure the project design is properly validated and does not delay procurement or construction activities.
11. Refine the documental needs for each payment milestone achieved.

Profile:

1. At least 10 years of prior experience in construction of power plants and photovoltaic, with at least 5 years in renewable energy from a construction perspective.
2. Deep knowledge of the development, construction, interconnection, commissioning process of Solar PV plants.
3. Successful track record in delivering projects with no accidents and on time.
4. Previous experience of managing a team is essential.
5. Previous experience as Site Manager or engineering manager is a bonus.
6. Experience managing construction of
   - scale PV Solar projects bigger than 50MW.
