Corporate Legal Counsel
The Legal Counsel will provide expert legal advice and support to the organization across a variety of legal, compliance, governance, and regulatory matters. This position is critical in ensuring the company operates within the bounds of applicable laws and regulations.
About the job:
Compliance
- Develop, implement, and maintain
- wide compliance programs to ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. - Conduct internal audits and compliance reviews to identify risks and areas for improvement.
Corporate Governance
- Provide legal advice and support on corporate governance matters.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Support the drafting and implementation of company policies and charters.
- Assist in maintaining company records, including legal registers, meeting minutes, and statutory documentation.
Legal Support
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to support the company’s daily operations (e. g. , NDAs, service agreements, supplier contracts).
- Manage legal disputes and litigation in coordination with external counsel, when required.
- Draft and review securitization documents, including prospectuses, offering memorandums, servicing agreements, and other
- related legal documents. - Ensure compliance with securitization regulatory frameworks.
GDPR & Data Protection
- Support the DPO, ensuring compliance with data protection laws and best practices.
What you bring:
Must-have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law; Master’s degree or specialized certifications are a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a legal counsel or in a similar role, ideally in a corporate environment.
- Legal Knowledge: Strong knowledge of compliance, corporate governance, and general business law.
- Proficiency in English is required.
