About the role:
As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll be part of a client team building innovative products. We expect you to be curious, passionate, driven, and enthusiastic. You’ll be proficient at

About you:
A YLD Software Engineering Consultant is a highly skilled developer who exemplifies the highest standard in software engineering and enjoys sharing their knowledge and experience with others.
You’ll have the opportunity to build and deliver software within some interesting projects in terms of the product and methodology. We work in an Agile environment (Scrum) with a
- first mindset (actually, writing code without tests should be unthinkable). We are also big advocates of pair programming and nothing is released until we have a code review.

Requirements
Your
-
- day responsibilities will look like this:
- Crafting excellent products! As a Full-Stack Engineer, you will be building new features and integrations that meet the needs of our clients’ customers, as well as improving their Digital Platform;
- Working closely with your team, regularly collaborating on engineering initiatives, to continually push yourselves to be better;
- Participating in regular show and tells, promoting your work to both your department and the wider company;
You’ll have the following skills and experience:
- Proven commercial experience of working with C and Rust;
- Proficiency in memory management, concurrency, and multithreaded programming;
- In-depth understanding of system architecture, including
- level optimization techniques; - Experience with modern build systems and tooling (e. g. , CMake, Cargo, Bazel);
- Experience with Python for small scripts or test integrations;
- Strong background in debugging and performance profiling tools (e. g. , GDB, Valgrind, or equivalent tools for Rust);
- Strong focus on testing methodologies, including Unit, Integration, and System-level tests;
- Building
- performance and scalable applications; - Familiarity with
- platform development (e. g. , embedded systems, Linux, mac
OS, and Windows); - Familiarity with orchestration and containerization tooling (e. g. Docker);
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, as well as automated testing frameworks;
- Familiarity with performance monitoring tools;
- Knowledge of networking protocols,
- time systems, or similar domains is a strong advantage.
