We are currently looking for Configuration Manager – Git Migration.

About the Role

We are looking for a Configuration Manager specialized in Git to lead the migration of an SVN repository to Git. The professional will be responsible for ensuring a structured, secure, and efficient transition, minimizing development disruptions, and training the team for effective adoption of the new system.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic migration plan from SVN to Git, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition.
• Ensure data integrity by validating the complete preservation of commit history and metadata.
• Collaborate with software development, Dev
  Ops, and project management teams to align the migration with ongoing operations.
• Apply Agile methodologies to manage the transition and adjust the process as needed.
• Create detailed documentation of the migration process, including migration plans, data validation reports, and
  - migration assessments.
• Provide training and support to the team, ensuring effective adoption of Git and best practices.
• Identify risks and challenges during the process and propose solutions for mitigation.

Requirements

Proven experience in SVN-to-Git repository migration.

Proficiency in version control systems (SVN, Git) and best practices.

Knowledge of tools and methodologies for source code migration.

Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

Ability to develop clear and structured technical documentation.

Experience in training and supporting development teams.

Strong skills in data integrity validation and ensuring complete repository history preservation.

Work Model

Hybrid (75%
- site in Ovar, 25% remote)
