- time position involves teaching Computer Science to IB and High School students, with a special focus on integrating emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the curriculum. This position should inspire students to engage with

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking someone who is excited to develop, create and nurture a department with senior support.

• Develop and deliver engaging, interactive lessons tailored to IB and High School students.
• Implement a variety of teaching methods, including
  - based learning, group activities, and simulations, to foster critical thinking and
  - solving skills.
• Develop lesson plans, assessments, and activities aligned with the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum, incorporating AI and other advanced topics.
• Regularly evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic growth and technical competence.
• Foster a passion for technology by encouraging students to explore AI, machine learning, and related fields through
  - on projects and research.
• Provide individualized mentorship, guiding students in developing their skills and pursuing advanced studies or careers in Computer Science.
• Work with colleagues to integrate Computer Science concepts into other disciplines for
  - curricular learning.
• Stay updated on trends and advancements in Computer Science education, applying new insights to classroom practices.
• Organize and lead extracurricular activities, such as AI workshops, hackathons, or coding clubs, to engage students beyond the classroom.
• Participate in Parent-Teacher Conferences and school events to maintain open communication with families and promote the school’s mission.

Knowledge and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, Education, or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification with a focus on Computer Science or a related subject.
• Minimum of 2 years teaching Computer Science, with experience in AI concepts preferred.
• Proven ability to guide students in AI-related projects or research.
• Native or
  - native proficiency in English. Portuguese proficiency is an advantage.
• Deep depth understanding of the IB curriculum and its implementation.
• Familiarity with AI tools, platforms, and technologies relevant to secondary education.

Technical and Soft Skills

• Proficiency in programming languages like Python and familiarity with AI frameworks such as Tensor
  Flow or Py
  Torch.
• Experience with computational thinking, data science, and
  - on AI project design.
• Ability to integrate advanced educational technologies into the classroom effectively.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
• Collaborative mindset with a commitment to teamwork and sharing best practices.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, coupled with a proactive and
  - motivated attitude.
• Enthusiasm for teaching, reflected in innovative lesson design and a commitment to student success.
