Your mission will be…

We are looking for a data engineer with a focus in Azure cloud to join our i
RAM-Service team. You will be responsible for implementing i
RAM cloud solutions for internal customer demands. The ideal candidate is an experienced data engineer who enjoys extracting data from various data sources using services from
- on experience with Azure cloud. The Cloud Data Engineer will work together with our ETL developers, Report specialists, and data architect. The candidate should be
- directed and comfortable supporting the solutions needs of multiple Siemens’ business partners, systems, and services.

Who is i
RAM?

• i
  RAM (Integrated Reporting & Analytic Metrics) service is a reporting and analytics solution framework which provides periodic reporting and analytics functionalities for IT infrastructure services.
• i
  RAM is using modern technologies like Azure cloud/Snowflake/Tableau/Power
  BI to deliver reports for different levels of management within Siemens IT, including among other data on financials, service performance, consumption, volume, and quality.
• As part of your job, you will integrate data from multiple data source systems (databases, web services, event streams) into our Azure Cloud solution.
• You are primarily responsible for the independent preparation, consolidation, and transformation of large (un)structured data sets.
• You will work with different databases (SQL Server, My
  SQL) and cloud infrastructures (Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Function App, Databricks).
• You will also ensure data integrity, validity, and quality using modern tools (e. g. , ADF, Pentaho, SSIS).
• You will also support the manual and automated transfer of data records from existing database systems (on-premise SQL Server database) to our cloud infrastructure.

We are looking for someone with…

• The foundation of your success is a successfully completed degree in computer science, business informatics, information systems, or related fields.
• At least 3 years of practical experience as a data engineer.
• In-depth knowledge of relational databases and data processing languages such as SQL and Python.
• Practical experience working with Microsoft Azure Data Services, such as APIM, ADF, SQL Server, Azure Blob storage, and Databricks.
• A basic understanding of data modeling and machine learning.
• Strong analytical skills and
  - solving skills.
• Experience working in agile teams and a high willingness to learn.
• Team player with the ability to communicate objectively and clearly.
• Very good knowledge of English.
