Offer Description

The University of Coimbra opens a call for the assignment of a research grant, with one position under the project Smart
Dispenser (CENTRO2030-FEDER-00581000).

The call is governed by this Notice of Opening, the University of Coimbra Research Grant Regulations (RBI-UC), and applicable national and community legislation.

Minimum Requirements:

Master's degree course in Informatics Engineering, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or related areas.

Grant Recipients:

Students enrolled in a doctoral degree in the scientific area of Informatics Engineering.

Ineligible candidates:

Candidates who have already benefited from two research grant contracts with UC while being enrolled in a doctoral degree.

Eligible for grant assignment if meeting the requirements:

• Portuguese nationals or nationals of other EU Member States
• Nationals of third countries
• Stateless persons
• Beneficiaries of political refugee status

Grant location: Department of Computer Engineering of the University of Coimbra (DEI-FCTUC)

Work Plan / Goals to be achieved:

1. Data Collection and Annotation for Training AI Models
2. Development and Optimization of AI Models for Fraud Detection
3. Implementation of an AI Model for Stock Management of Current Dispensers
4. Implementation of a Distributor Route and Load Optimization Model
5. Continuous testing and optimization to ensure model accuracy and efficiency.

Renewal Possibility: Possibly renewable

Monthly grant amount: 1309, 64 €
