Buyer – Electronics (EMS)

We are seeking a motivated Buyer to manage our local supply chain within electronics (EMS). The candidate will be responsible for purchasing electronic components to support our operations in Denmark. In cooperation with Sourcing and Engineering, you will take part in EOL, LTB investigations, negotiations and calculations in cooperation with various stakeholders, supporting with improvement projects & price negotiations and handling various RFQ’s. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work effectively in a
- functional team.
Responsibilities:
- Procure electronic components and services from suppliers through ERP system.
- Monitor purchase order & order confirmation matches.
- Monitor pending invoices and releasing process.
- Rescheduling in/out and cancellation of orders if required.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
- Participate in weekly meetings.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure timely delivery and quality is in accordance to specifications.
- Support Sourcing in negotiation of prices with suppliers to ensure
- efficiency and collaborate with the engineering and planning teams to understand and meet their material requirements. - Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement within the electronics or EMS industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Supplier communication and analytical skills. Proficiency in procurement and ERP systems.
- In-depth understanding of EMS supply chains and the market for electronic components.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work in a
- paced environment. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluent in English is a requirement for the position.
- Knowledge and experience within SAP is an advantage.
