Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Business Development Account Manager to join our growing team in Portugal. This role is pivotal to enhancing Purdicom’s presence and performance in the Iberian market. The successful candidate will focus on generating new business opportunities by leveraging targeted email and telephone campaigns developed in collaboration with the sales and marketing teams in the UK.
Principal Duties:
- Lead Generation: Identify and develop new business opportunities through email campaigns, telephone campaigns and subsequent engagement activities.
- Client Engagement: Establish and cultivate relationships with prospective customers, ensuring a deep understanding of their requirements to convert leads into tangible business opportunities.

- date database maintenance to facilitate effective marketing campaigns and lead tracking. - Collaboration: Work closely with the Sales Manager to align campaigns with broader sales objectives and strategies.
- Quotation Preparation: Produce and deliver professional and tailored quotations to customers.
- Internal Coordination: Collaborate effectively with internal departments to ensure seamless delivery of client requirements.
- Strategic Contribution: Actively contribute to the team’s success by sharing innovative ideas and adopting best practices.
Knowledge & Skill Requirements
- Language Proficiency: Native or fluent in Portuguese and Spanish, with proficiency in English.
- Professional Experience: A minimum of 2–3 years in a proactive sales or business development role, ideally within the technology or distribution sectors.
- Communication Excellence: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a persuasive and professional demeanor.
- Technical Knowledge: Aptitude for understanding and communicating technical product information.
- Organisational Skills: Strong ability to prioritise workloads and maintain accuracy in all tasks.
- Relationship Management: Proven ability to build and sustain strong working relationships both internally and externally.
- Technical Tools: Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software is advantageous.
Working Conditions
- Location: The role is primarily
- based in central Porto, Portugal, with the possibility of hybrid working arrangements. - Resources: A company laptop and all necessary tools to perform the role will be provided.
