What do we expect?

As Business Controller you will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the company. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will play a crucial role in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, providing valuable insights to inform strategic
- making.

Responsibilities:

1. Support and coordinate the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring accurate and timely financial planning
2. Participate in strategic planning sessions, contributing financial expertise to guide the company’s direction and growth strategies
3. Collaborate with department heads to understand their financial needs and challenges, offering support and guidance to optimise their budgets and spending
4. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
5. Supervise accounting activities on a monthly basis and support the closing of annual accounts
6. Manage the company’s invoicing process and monitor sales performance
7. Support the external audit process and ensure compliance with accounting standards and legal requirements

Who are you?

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics or related field
2. 3+ years experience in a similar position
3. Solid proficiency in Excel, Office 365 suite
4. Good working knowledge in accounting and Portuguese GAAP
5. Strong analytical, organisation and critical thinking skills
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
7. Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment, be proactive and pay attention to detail
8. Native Portuguese proficiency and professional working proficiency in English
