To join our team in August 2025, we are looking for a
- qualified and talented teacher of Biology.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Deliver engaging and effective instruction aligned with the GCSE, A-Level, or IBDP Biology curricula, inspiring student confidence and fostering academic growth.
2. Plan and execute dynamic lessons that cater to individual learning needs, incorporating modern teaching strategies and technology to enhance the learning experience.
3. Monitor student progress through effective use of formative and summative assessments, ensuring students meet challenging academic targets.
4. Provide pastoral support, promoting student
   - being and addressing individual needs in collaboration with the school's
   - being team.
5. Encourage student involvement in
   - curricular
   - related activities, trips, and learning opportunities beyond the classroom.
6. Contribute to curriculum development and school improvement planning, ensuring alignment with the school's educational priorities.
7. Foster a positive classroom environment by maintaining high standards of behaviour and discipline, ensuring a safe and productive learning atmosphere.
8. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share effective teaching practices, supporting
   - wide initiatives and professional development goals.
9. Engage parents and stakeholders, providing regular updates on student progress and actively contributing to
   - teacher communications.
10. Stay current with educational advancements, participating in professional development opportunities to continuously enhance teaching practice and student outcomes.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• A relevant degree in Biology or a related field, along with a valid teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Biology at the secondary level, with knowledge of GCSE, A-Level, or IBDP curricula.
• A proven ability to inspire and engage students, fostering a passion for science and academic excellence.
• Strong skills in differentiating instruction to meet the needs of students with diverse abilities and learning styles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
• Experience in using technology and modern teaching methods to enhance student learning and participation.
• A commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with advancements in education and science.
• A strong understanding of safeguarding and student welfare practices, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
