Responsibilities
Our newest opportunity is for a talented Interior Designer BIM Coordinator to join our team, based in Porto OR Lisbon, Portugal. This position is responsible for supporting BIM Coordination for major Interior Design projects.
We envisage success in this role to include:
- Developing and implementing the proposed Program-wide BIM system strategy and standards.
- Monitoring sub consultants’ compliance with BIM strategy and standards.
- Performing the role of reviewer for all BIM outputs and deliverables.
- Providing
- on training to internal disciplines in BIM software i. e. Revit, Navisworks. - Carrying out BIM validation reviews e. g. design clash detection, visual checks.
- Assisting proposals team with BIM capability assessment, execution plan, level of development matrix, TQ’s, service agreements, and appointments.
- Monitoring and overseeing the integration of sub consultants with BIM model(s).
- Carrying out BIM reviews, across all design stages or specific design packages.
- Managing the BIM process such that the highest quality of design deliverables are produced.
- Ensuring and validating that technical
- ordination between design disciplines is carried out on the BIM model(s). - Carrying out reviews of BIM model(s) with respect to relevant international design codes of practice for BIM.
- Carrying out reviews of BIM model(s) to ensure that compliance with the client’s own BIM Standards have been met.
- Monitoring the submissions (and resubmissions) of BIM deliverables to ensure that all review comments have been responded to and/or integrated.
- Chairs BIM review meetings/workshops with Project team, Client's team, and sub consultants.
- Contributing specialist expertise that will enhance the outputs of the BIM model in line with the BIM objectives of the project.
- Proactively forecasting and monitoring progress for design actions that are on the critical path of design.
- Creating and maintaining project tracking documents for design outputs and BIM reviews.
- Providing BIM updates into monthly reports on status of design.
- May perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 5 years of relevant experience partnered with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture. Continued advanced training in the latest BIM software is required. REVIT Certification is preferred.
