Job Description

We have an opportunity for a new team member to join our Business Intelligence whilst we prepare to embark on a global transformation programme to move from our
- premise service to One
Data (AWS/Qlik) platform:

Skills Needed

1. Experience with AWS serverless services like Athena, Glue, Lambda, S3, Lake Formation including deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of system resources.
2. Experience with data processing and manipulation using Python.
3. Experience with Dev
   Ops using Git source control systems.
4. Strong understanding of general networking and accessing data via Web API.

Desired Qualifications

1. AWS Glue: Familiarity with AWS Glue for carrying out ETL operations, including understanding of Glue Catalog, Glue Jobs, and Glue Crawlers.
2. AWS S3: Good knowledge of AWS S3 for data storage and retrieval, including understanding of S3 bucket management, data transfer, and security features.
3. AWS Lake Formation: Experience with AWS Lake Formation for creating, securing, and managing data lakes, including understanding of data lake architecture and security policies.
4. AWS Athena: Ability to use AWS Athena for data querying, including basic SQL knowledge and the ability to optimize queries for performance.
5. AWS Redshift: Understanding of AWS Redshift for data warehousing tasks, including knowledge of data loading, data modeling, and performance tuning.
6. AWS Aurora: Familiarity with AWS Aurora for relational database services, including understanding of database management, SQL, and database optimization.
7. Data Modeling: Skills in designing and implementing data models for specific use cases.
8. Security: Basic understanding of AWS security best practices, including IAM roles, security groups, and encryption.
9. Performance Tuning: Skills in optimizing the performance of AWS services for specific use cases.
10. Troubleshooting: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to AWS services.
11. Communication: Ability to explain technical concepts to
    - technical team members.
12. Project Management: Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time and meet deadlines.

AWS Certification: Having an AWS certification, such as the AWS Certified Big Data or AWS Certified Solutions Architect, would be beneficial.
