Job Description:

The Mercan Properties Group is responsible for developing real estate projects in the tourism sector in Portugal and currently has 31 projects across the country. The Mercan Group has a presence, in addition to Portugal, in Canada, China, India, the United Arab Emirates, United States of America and Greece. The operation in Portugal began in 2015, focusing on the development of real estate projects related to tourism.

Mercan Properties, a company part of the Mercan Group of companies, is a professional services firm involved in all phases of Hospitality Projects cycle. Currently, Mercan Properties is managing several hospitality projects across the country and expects to significantly increase its portfolio in the next 24 months, including residential construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Focus on assisting the development projects on Hospitality and Premium residential sectors;
• Support the Development Manager in procurement and project marketing and sales, making the connect with leasing team, brokers and potential buyers, and with relevant stakeholders to adapt the project as needed;
• Provide assistance to the Development Manager on producing regular development and project reports (financial, timeline, quality, risk) to be presented to the team, Senior management, or other stakeholders;
• Develop, manage, and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders (including
  - developers, development partners, and public entities);
• Coordinate and interact with architects, engineers, and consultants to optimize best project solutions.

Requirements:

• 1-2 years’ experience in a real estate development, investment, or advisory company, with experience in real estate project development acquisition and execution;
• Analytical profile and passionate for real estate;
• Team spirit and a positive attitude;
• Strong sense of ownership, attention to detail and quality output, with a positive attitude and a drive for high standards;
• Experience and knowledge in hospitality and/or residential development as urban planning will be a plus;
• Strong interpersonal skills to deal with the challenges of remaining stakeholders (architects, engineers, external consultants, etc);
• Architect, Engineer or Management based background;
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
