We are looking for an Assistant Director of Finance to join our
- opening team at Andaz Lisbon.

Expected to open in Mid-End 2025, Andaz Lisbon will offer guests an exciting new luxury lifestyle hotel in the Portuguese capital. This hotel will represent a key milestone in Hyatt’s continued brand growth in Southern Europe. Located in the center of Lisbon’s bustling Baixa district, the hotel will comprise five separate buildings and will offer 170 guestrooms along with various private suites.

About The Role

The Assistant Director of Finance will assist the Director of Finance in the efficient running of the Accounting and Procurement department with the following tasks:

1. All activities related to budgeting, forecasting, profit and loss reporting, and account reconciliation for operating and balance sheet accounts.
2. Preparation and regular update of the Finance Departmental Budget, in close cooperation with the Director of Finance, ensuring targets are met and costs are effectively controlled.
3. Ensure strict adherence to the Departmental Operational Budget.
4. Monitor all costs and recommend measures to control them, establishing an integrated cost management plan.
5. Oversee all accounting activities related to income auditing, cashiering, accounts payable processing, accounts receivable collection, tax compliance, payroll, and
   - end processing.
6. This position is management level and requires working as much of each workday as necessary to complete job responsibilities.

1. Possess a 4-year Bachelor Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent certifications.
2. Experience as a Finance Director or Manager, with a minimum of 3 years in a finance leadership position.
3. Experience with budgeting, forecasting, operational cost controls, and balancing ledgers.
4. Aptitude for performing numerical analysis of data and formulating conclusions.
5. Ability to define problems, collect information, and interpret data.
6. Proven leadership and coaching skills with a track record of developing a motivated finance team.
7. Ability to present technical financial subjects clearly.
8. Strong oral and written communication skills.
9. Superior Computer skills: Microsoft Office, POS/PMS systems, and Excel.
10. Demonstrate Leadership and Strategic Decision Making.
