The position

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable & GL Accountant to join our Finance team in Maia, Portugal, for a fixed term maternity cover of 6-9 months.

Primary responsibilities

1. Handling and posting of incoming payments
2. Monitor and collect accounts receivable by contacting customers via telephone and
   - mail
3. Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date
4. Send out customer statements
5. Quote approvals, release of orders, credit control
6. Participate in the monthly closing procedure, such as account reconciliations
7. Prepare documentation for auditors
8. Answer inquiries by
   - mail to customers and colleagues
9. Assist in improving accounts receivable processes
10. Account reconciliations

You should have an Accounting or Finance Bachelor degree and several years of professional experience. Excellent communication skills in English and French are required, along with experience in SAP4Hanna and/or SAP.
