API Sourcing and Purchasing Director (M/F)

Job Description:

As API Sourcing and Purchasing Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective purchasing strategies for pharmaceutical assets (API), ensuring that procurement operations align with the strategic objectives of the Tecnimede Group.

The candidate must be available to travel for around 30% of their time.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement procurement strategies for APIs that meet the Tecnimede Group's quality and cost requirements.
2. Manage the procurement lifecycle, from supplier selection to contract negotiation and performance management.
3. Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Production to ensure compliance with regulations and production needs.
4. Analyze market trends and identify opportunities to optimize costs and improve efficiency.
5. Build and maintain solid relationships with suppliers and strategic partners.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Management, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years' experience in strategic procurement and purchasing in the pharmaceutical sector.
3. Solid knowledge of regulations and compliance practices in the pharmaceutical industry.
4. Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
5. Ability to work in a dynamic and multifunctional environment.
6. Fluency in English.
7. Willingness to travel around 30% of the time.
