Job Description

We are looking for an Android Developer to join the Research & Development Team.

We’re looking for an experienced Android developer to help us evolve our mobile application used by thousands of clients on a daily basis. While we primarily use Kotlin for all new code, there are still some portions in Java that require attention. We have a proprietary
- performance mobile transport and share some portions of the code between i
OS and Android through
- compilation. Besides mobile development, our engineers are actively participating in BFF (Backend For Frontend) component development, so we are always sure that we have the most convenient structure and format of the data.

We expect the Android developer to:

1. Enhance and refine our mobile trading Android platform: our current goal is to incorporate Compose with Kotlin flows into already existing features.
2. Collaboratively architect and deploy innovative features using Kotlin.
3. Share your expertise during code review activities and refinement sessions.
4. Actively participate in
   - wide engineering discussions, offering innovative ideas for improvement. Weekly meetings are held to address current codebase challenges and strategize effective solutions.
5. Work together to create new ideas: In our team, everyone's ideas are important. Engage closely with individuals who propose product ideas, design experts, and other developers to make these new ideas real.
6. Consistently elevate our developer journey, leading the charge in pioneering technical explorations and prototype developments.

Qualifications

Must-have skills:

1. Mastery of Kotlin and Java
2. Deep understanding of Android framework
3. Analytical and
   - solving skills
4. Knowledge of OOP principles and an ability to implement them in practice
5. Strong understanding of data structures, OOP, FP, SOLID principles
6. Deep understanding of multithreading in Android Rx
   Java, Rx
   Kotlin and tradeoffs between reactive vs imperative programming, Kotlin Coroutines.
7. Extensive knowledge of Android architecture components Live
   Data, View
   Model, Navigation etc.
8. English level B2 or above
9. BS or higher technical degree in Computer Science or a closely related field
10. 4+ years of experience in Android software development

Nice-to-have skills:

1. Financial, brokerage or
   - related software
2. Knowledge about Accessibility best practices in Android
3. Experience with Snapshot testing
4. Experience working on backend components with Java
5. DI - Dagger 2, Hilt or any other tool capable of dependency injection
6. Good understanding of Networking and
   - server communication
7. CI/CD, Gradle and Team
   City
8. User Interface design and usability design experience
