AGILE DELIVERY MANAGER
JOB SUMMARY:
The Agile Delivery Manager will be responsible for managing the delivery of IT solutions and systems integration projects using Agile methodologies, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within scope, and meet the client’s business needs. The Agile Delivery Manager will lead
- functional teams, facilitate communication across stakeholders, and ensure that Agile best practices are adhered to. This role requires strong leadership skills, deep Agile knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic and
- paced environment.
JOB ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage Agile delivery teams, including Scrum teams,
- functional specialists, and
- party vendors, to successfully execute projects using Scrum, Kanban, or other Agile frameworks. - Ensure the application of Agile practices such as sprint planning, daily
- ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. - Own and drive the delivery process from initiation to closure, ensuring project goals, scope, and timelines are clearly defined and met.
- Manage project scope and continuously adjust the course of delivery, maintaining flexibility to meet changing business needs.
- Act as the primary point of contact for both clients and internal teams, maintaining clear and continuous communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with clients to define project objectives, business requirements, and success criteria.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, ensuring alignment between business goals, project timelines, and deliverables.
- Ensure transparent and consistent communication of project status, risks, and issues to both internal leadership and external clients.
- Act as a servant leader, empowering teams to
- organize and take ownership of their deliverables while fostering a culture of collaboration, trust, and continuous improvement. - Facilitate and coach teams on Agile best practices and methodologies to ensure high performance and adherence to Agile principles.
- Provide guidance on how to break down complex requirements into user stories and backlog items that are actionable and deliverable.
- Support Product Owners and Scrum Masters in managing product backlogs and refining user stories.
- Identify, assess, and manage delivery risks throughout the project lifecycle. Proactively address issues that may impede the team’s ability to meet objectives.
- Use Agile metrics (e. g. , velocity,
- down charts, cycle time) to identify potential bottlenecks and take corrective actions where necessary. - Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that may prevent the team from delivering
- quality outcomes. - Champion the adoption and evolution of Agile methodologies across the organization, ensuring that teams mature in their Agile practices over time.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by regularly conducting retrospectives, gathering feedback, and iterating on the delivery process.
- Collaborate with other Agile Delivery Managers to share knowledge, lessons learned, and best practices across projects and teams.
- Work closely with senior leadership to ensure that Agile delivery aligns with the company’s strategic objectives and business goals.
- Contribute to setting realistic delivery targets, capacity planning, and resource allocation to ensure the team has the necessary support and resources.
- Provide insights into the project performance, including timelines, budget, scope, and quality metrics, to enable senior management to make informed decisions.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT project management, with at least 3-5 years in an Agile Delivery Manager, Scrum Master, or similar role within IT solutions and systems integration environments.
- Strong experience in leading
- functional teams through the delivery of complex IT solutions, including systems integration, software development, and enterprise solutions. - Deep knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc. ), with experience leading Agile teams in a
- paced environment. - Proven experience in managing
- scale projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery of
- quality solutions. - Certification in Agile methodologies (e. g. , Certified Scrum
Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), SAFe Agilist) is highly desirable. - Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage client relationships and internal teams effectively.
- Strong
- solving skills with the ability to make decisions quickly and effectively in a dynamic environment. - Experience with Agile project management tools such as JIRA, Trello, or Azure Dev
Ops. - Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities and complex project schedules.
- Willing to work on a Hybrid
- up.
