Palex Portugal, a leading company in the management and distribution of innovative hospital and research solutions, is recruiting an Accounting Specialist.

Main Responsibilities:

• Processing and recording accounting documents (invoices, receipts, etc. );
• Preparing monthly and annual accounts;
• Reconciliation and analysis of current accounts;
• Preparing periodic financial reports;
• Helping to fulfil tax and legal obligations;
• Supporting the team in administrative tasks related to the financial area;
• Informing and advising management on accounting and tax impacts and proposing and implementing the necessary solutions;
• Ensuring the timely and appropriate preparation of tax returns;
• Supporting the financial audit process, proposing measures to reduce risks;
• Encouraging continuous improvement and automation of financial processes.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting (preferred), Management, Economics or Finance;
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role;
• Experience in a multinational context (preferred);
• Solid knowledge of SAP;
• Knowledge of tax and accounting regulations in Portugal;
• Knowledge of MS-Office (Excel);
• Good knowledge of English (preferred) and Spanish;
• Membership of the Order of Certified Accountants (OCC) is mandatory;
• Good communication skills, organisation, analysis and meeting deadlines;
• Demonstration of initiative, proactivity and autonomy;
• Ability and enjoyment of working as part of a team.
