Finance Analyst (Accounting Analyst)

We are currently seeking to recruit an Accounting Analyst. The purpose of this position is to Carry out and controlling the company's accounting activities in accordance with the National Accounting System SNC/ESNL, the IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), Embraer Group standards and the procedures in force.

The role is based in Lisbon, Portugal.

MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carrying out and controlling the company's accounting activities to prepare accounting information, draw up accounts reports and ensure compliance;
• Ensuring compliance with all legal obligations relating to accounting, ensuring the accuracy of accounting reports and compliance with dates;
• Ensuring that the company accounts are adapted to the group's standards and reporting to Embraer. Drawing up discrepancy reports and ensuring their rectification;
• Collaborating in the monthly closing of accounts and the monthly financial results of the general accounts, always observing local and group practices;
• Ensure the integrity of the accounts of subsidiaries, branches or participated companies, where applicable;
• Carrying out accounting consolidation, as well as maintaining and updating charts of accounts in accordance with corporate criteria;
• Ensuring the accounting of the acquisition and amortization of fixed assets, to guarantee that the accounts correctly reflect the company's assets and compliance with the defined guidelines;
• Check that the existing controls and reconciliation of inventories are in line with the nature of the movements and the associated accounts;
• Be diligent and maintain 'professional skepticism' when performing and supervising the activities and processes under their responsibility, including but not limited to: (i) maintaining focus and attention to the accuracy and validity of the data under analysis, (ii) requesting additional documents when necessary to carry out these analyses, (iii) identifying, communicating, escalating and assisting in the resolution of possible risk situations ("red flags") and/or problems related to compliance with the Company's policies and procedures. Diligence and 'professional skepticism' must be applied even if there are reviews and approvals prior to the analysis being carried out.
• Preparation of monthly local provision for the nominated entities as required;
• Prepare annual financial statements, management report and lead external audits;
• Prepare variance analyses report for Management;
• Comply with all statistical declarations (surveys, INE, etc. )
• Support month end, quarter and yearend closing activities for assigned entities and timely review of reconciliation of all GL accounts;
• Effectively interpret and implement specific financial guidelines (Embraer procedures, Statutory procedures, Local GAAP, etc. )

PROFILE OF THE SUITABLE CANDIDATE

• Minimum five years’ experience performing accounting and clerical support duties;
• Bachelor's degree in accounting;
• Contabilista Certificado from the Ordem dos Contabilistas Certificados (OCC) in Portugal – Mandatory.
• Know, practice and experience under IFRS and SNC accounting standards;
• Knowledge in IVA and IRC;
• Strong math and organizational skills;
• Enjoy technical accounting studies;
• Communicative and approachable;
• Professional approach with great attention to detail;
• Ability to work in a team within an international environment;
• Fluent in English is mandatory, ability to speak Portuguese or any other European language is of great advantage;
• Proficient computer skills with MS Office;
• SAP ERP system skills.
